With that in mind and in response to public health guidance issued by the Centers for Disease Control as a precautionary measure, DFW Airport has cancelled its annual Earth Day educational event. We will let you know if there are plans to reschedule.

DFW International Airport press conference about the reopening of runway 17C/35C. Runway 17C/35C will be back in use on March 10th. The runway has been closed and under construction sinc May 2018. Runway 17C/35C is DFW’s first asphalt runway. The new surface is weather resistant and can withstand temperatures up to 190 degrees. (DMN video/edit: Vernon Bryant)
